MANY ways to help on a local, county, state and country level.

Thanks for all that you do!

Maiden Elementary School

Collect your Box Tops for Education and My Reward Coke caps. Maiden Elementary School collects these and receives rewards for doing so. Just one easy way to dispose of those things that you normally throw away.  The school has a trailer that they can collect your aluminum cans in so you don't have to send them to be recycled. Take those empty aluminum cans to the trailer parked in the American Legion parking lot.

Helping in the community can be easy and we're helping our neighborhood.

2nd Annual Pancake Breakfast to support the children of Maiden Elementary School. Come out on Saturday, August 13th from 7:30 to 10am and enjoy some wonderful pancakes. Donations Only! 2016 over $1052 was raised.

Red Bird Mission

Collect the Campbell Soup labels, Prego labels and bring them to the church. These labels are sent to The Red Bird Mission project that supports a children's orphanage. Once again, sharing something that you would normally throw away adds up for someone in need.

A box has been placed in the education building for you to place these labels in.

BACKPACK FOR KIDS

The youth are still collecting food for the "Backpack for Kids" Program. Items needed include: Easy Mac N' Cheese, Soups, Pastas, Canned Veggies/Fruit and Snacks.
All donations should be non-perishable items.  Please place in the tubs outside the fellowship hall.

Giving Tree

Similar to "The Angel Tree", this project allows you an opportunity to help a child in need that attends Maiden Elementary School.  The Youth have made a tree and have wish lists by these children clipped on each branch. Please get one and try to meet the requests of the child. The deadline for these items to be returned back to the church is December 15th.

The Youth will deliver them to the school on December 16th.

THANKS TO EVERYONE THAT ASSISTED WITH THIS PROJECT. IT WAS VERY SUCCESSFUL. MANY WERE BLESSED BY YOUR ACTIONS.

Heating & Air Conditioner Renovation Project

Please consider giving beyond your normal tithes to the HVAC system. $130,000 has been borrowed to be applied to pay for the much needed renovation.  Work has already begun and paying back the loans will begin in August.  Please be prayerful and generous in giving of your money, time and talents. God Bless You!

Nursing Home Ministry

Please bring small hygiene items to be donated to Cardinal Care. The clients of this nursing home enjoy playing bingo and by donating items of this nature gives them an opportunity to win something useful. A collection box is located in the educational building to drop off your items. Thanks for helping brighten someone's day.

CORNER TABLE MINISTRIES

This outreach mission project helps to provide items that are needed for the local soup kitchen in Newton. Items needed this month are:
Self-Rising flour, Evaporated Milk, Black-eyed Peas, Great Northern Beans

GO YE Sunday

4th Sunday of every month.
Bring loose change to donate. Children collect during worship service.
Money is used in local missions for children, heating bills, groceries, etc. for those in need.

ROOT FOR THE TROOPS

The youth will be sending care packages overseas to our heroes serving. If you know of anyone who would like a care package, please let Pastor Tony, Phuong McKinney or Sarah Jordan know.

SHUT-IN PERSON/S OF THE MONTH

We have several shut-in's that could use a phone call or a card. Pick up the phone or send out a card to let them know they are being thought of.
